Directed by the award-winning director Martin Scorsese, The Last Waltz is regarded as one of the best music films of all time. Released in 1978, it chronicles the expansive farewell show for the celebrated group The Band. It features performances from some of the most iconic names in the music industry, including Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell and Muddy Waters.
The live tribute concert is a re-enactment of the film, featuring The Band tribute band The Group along with a series of musical guest stars from the Dublin music scene. The concert will fill the venue with a ten-piece band and a full brass section and encourages Band fans "young and old" to dance their hearts out, with the aim of creating the "ultimate tribute to this sensational show."
