Jack White offers students €20 tickets for his Irish and UK shows

Jack White is offering a “limited number” of discounted €20 tickets to students for his upcoming Irish and UK run.

His tour includes shows at Belfast’s Telegraph Building on August 31 and Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on September 1 and 2.

“These tickets can only be purchased in-person at the venue’s box office on show day and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis with a valid student ID,” White wrote on his Instagram yesterday. Only one ticket will be available per student ID.

The tour comes in celebration of Frozen Charlotte, White’s seventh solo album, which was released on July 10 and lauded by Hot Press as “raggedly mischievous, totally wired and an absolute blast,” in a review.

He will kick off his tour at London’s Eventim Apollo tonight, August 25. This will be followed by shows in Bristol and Newcastle, before heading to Belfast and Dublin.

White is known for co-founding The White Stripes, alongside Meg White. The garage rock duo began in 1997 and achieved global fame with their 2001 album, White Blood.

They officially parted ways in 2011 and Jack White began his solo career in 2012 with the release of ‘Love Interruption’, his first solo single.

Prior to that, in 2001, he founded independent music label Third Man Records. The label recently announced it is bringing its pop-up experience to the UK and Ireland, stopping in Dublin’s Dawson Street Tower Records from September 1 to 2.
