The Los Angeles five-piece have gone from strength to strength since their formation in 2011.
The gradual disbandment of Odd Future may have initially been met by widespread disappointment from fans of the eclectic collective, but wounds have been at least somewhat healed in the intervening period due to the emergence of the solo projects of the group's alumni in the shape of Frank Ocean, Tyler, The Creator and the funk-heavy sounds of The Internet to name a few.
The latter - the band consisting of Syd, Matt Martians, Patrick Paige II, Christopher Smith, and Steve Lacy - have experienced a bit of a slower rise to prominence than some of their counterparts, but their consistent quality output has seen them finally receive their deserved acclaim in recent years.
Their third album, Ego Death, saw them make their biggest breakthrough. The typically dynamic and multi-dimensional record from 2015 was received universally positively and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary album as well as countless sold-out shows and a reputation as one of the most interesting and talented "new" bands on the scene.
