The Dublin Crawl comes from Camden
As previously mentioned in Hot Press, London's long-running Camden Crawl has given birth to the Dublin Crawl, which will run in the capital on May 11 and 12.
The emphasis is firmly on emerging talent with Alarmist, Hands Up Who Wants To Die, Jogging, LaFaro, Laura Sheeran, Lemonada, Lethal Dialect, LeGalaxie, little xs for eyes, Last Days Of 1984, melodica death ship, Tierannisaur and We Are Losers among the first batch of Irish acts to be confirmed.
The UK contingent includes Clock Opera, Dutch Uncles, D/R/U/G/S and Becoming Real with dozens more – some extremely hip and happening – being added over the coming weeks.
Day passes are €25 and weekend ones €40. These can be exchanged each day between 5pm and 10pm for wristbands that gain you free access to Whelan's, The Button Factory, Grand Social, Twisted Pepper, Workman's Club, Village, Speakeasy, Mercantile, Upstairs @ Whelan's, Bernard Shaw and the Electric Lounge on a first come, first served basis. That's also when you'll be issued with details of who's playing where and when.
With Florence + The Machine, Maverick Sabre and Professor Green among those who've received a helping handing in the past from the Crawl, it should be an action-packed weekend.
