The Driver Era to release sophomore album, GIRLFRIEND, on October 15

The Driver Era have announced their sophomore album, GIRLFRIEND. The forthcoming record from the American alternative duo will be released on October 15.

Comprised of brothers Ross and Rocky Lynch, The Driver Era released their debut album X in 2019. Since then, they've shared three EPs and four singles, including their latest track, 'Heaven Angel.'

Both brothers were previously in the pop rock band R5 with their siblings, Riker and Rydel, as well as drummer Ellington Ratliff, from 2009 to 2018. During that time, Ross Lynch also starred on Disney Channel in the TV show Austin & Ally and movie Teen Beach Movie. In 2017, he played serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in My Friend Dahmer, and in 2018, he took on the role of Harvey Kinkle in Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the television adaptation of the Sabrina The Teenage Witch comics.

The duo have also announced that their next single, '#1 Fan,' will be released this Friday, August 13.
