The Academic return with new single 'Figure It Out'
The track comes as the Westmeath band's first release of 2026.
The Academic have made their return with new single 'Figure It Out'.
This comes as the Westmeath band's first release of 2026, following the release of 'Bye Bye Baby' in September.
“We’ve spent the last six months locked away working on a lot of new music, so it feels incredible to finally put something out into the world," said Lead singer Craig Fitzgerald.
"‘Figure It Out’ came together really quickly. It’s about that feeling of being overwhelmed, like everything around you is chaotic but also having that self-awareness where you know you need to pull yourself together. This feels like a new chapter for us, and we can’t wait for people to hear what’s coming next.”
The single was recorded in Dublin and produced by Beabadoobee collaborator Pete Robertson.
The Academic are set to kick off their 2026 headline tour in Manchester tonight, with shows to take place across the UK.
