Tender Claws releases new single ‘Twinge’ from upcoming EP Tear Him to Pieces
Listen to Tender Claws' upcoming debut EP August 7.
Rising Belfast-born alt-grunge solo artist Tender Claws has released her new single, ‘Twinge,’ another glimpse into her upcoming debut EP, Tear Him to Pieces, due for release August 7.
The song comes at the same time as ‘Spring Time Cull,’ Tender Claws’ first song off the EP and was produced by Ben Harper, who has worked with bands like The Mysterines, The Zutons and Sister Sledge.
Speaking about the track, Tender Claws said, “I wanted to write an upbeat, in-your-face song to, ironically, have some fun while processing the feelings stemming from a relationship that I had really hoped would develop into something more, ending quite abruptly.”
Tender Claws is the stage name of Tess Corr, an independent musician based in the North West of England. The band can usually be seen as a 4-piece including Corr as singer, songwriter and guitarist, Kurt Murphy on drums, Sydney Lau on bass and Connor Murphy on guitar. Tender Claws has performed at FOCUS Wales and opened for Dog Race in the past.
Speaking about her debut EP, Tender Claws said it “explores the idea of corrupted and lost innocence, and tainted idealism, in various guises.”
“I don’t like to restrict myself too much thematically or in terms of production between songs, which I think is apparent in this debut EP.”
