Tandem Felix return with new Lee Harvey Oswald-inspired single ‘The Assassination’

Following the release of their lauded debut album Rom-Com last year, Tandem Felix are back with a stellar new single 'The Assassination' – inspired by both Lee Harvey Oswald's assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963, and a crime scene the band stumbled upon when playing a string of shows in London in 2015.

"Maybe this scene, in a fashionable part of London that I was struggling to impress upon, was the scene of my own assassination attempt," Tandem Felix's frontman David Tapley reflects. "Shots fired in Bethnal Green/ And everyone fled the scene."

"Like with the Oswald story, within ‘The Assassination’ there are a myriad of surprises, conspiracies and hidden messages throughout," he adds. "Hopefully this song inspires its own Oliver Stone-directed film, but this time starring Leonard DiCaprio and Kate Winslet."

The single, recorded in Lamplight Studios by Stephen Dunne, further establishes Tandem Felix as one of the most captivatingly original acts in the country. Listen to 'The Assassination' below:
