Suriya Moodliar RIP
Hot Press has learned with deep sadness of the death of Suriya Moodliar.
Suriya, who ran the Interactive Music company with her husband Oliver Walsh, had worked in the music business for well over a decade.
Originally from South Africa, Suriya was one of the most widely liked people in the industry here – a charming, lovely and wonderfully enthusiastic person, who will be remembered as such by everyone who knew and worked with her.
Suriya had been diagnosed with cancer almost two years ago and has since fought what her family described as an heroic battle with the illness. The funeral takes place tomorrow (Friday December 8th) in Zion Parish Church, Bushy Park Road, Rathgar, Dublin at 11am. The family have requested no flowers, but that donations should instead be made to Cancer Programme C/O Dr. John
Kennedy, St. James Hospital D, 8 or Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross or the ISPCC.
Suriya and Oliver have three children, Oisín, Rian and Ethan. We extend our sympathies to all of her family, both here and in South Africa.
