Supergrass and the Pigeon Detectives for Belfast
Supergrass and the Pigeon Detectives have just been confirmed for Belfast's Rock the Hall concert on New Year's Eve.
They will be joined by three of Northern Ireland's hottest young bands, General Fiasco, Fighting With Wire and Universal Remedy to complete the line-up for the Belfast City Hall gig.
Both General Fiasco and Fighting With Wire were part of this year's Belsonic line-up and have been hailed as two of the most exciting Irish bands of 2008.
Lord Mayor of Belfast Tom Hartley said: "I'm sure everyone will agree that this is a really exciting line-up, with homegrown talent well represented."
Tickets, priced £5, go on sale on December 11 from the Belfast Welcome Centre. A special free Metro service will be in operation to take concert-goers home for everyone presenting a concert ticket.
