Summer Of Music: Wild Youth – "We’re insanely excited about playing for a crowd"
With the combination of the Live Performance Support Scheme and the success of the Government's test gigs at the Iveagh Gardens and the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, we are on the verge of a huge explosion of music activity. As part of our Summer of Music 2021 special feature, we spoke to some of the artists preparing to return to the stage...
Wild Youth
“We’re really excited and a little nervous. It’s been such a long time, but playing live is where we are happiest. We’re going to enjoy every second. We know how lucky we are to be one of the few acts getting to experience this feeling at the moment. We were a little bit rusty to start off, but we’re back in the swing of it now. We’ll still put on an energetic show, and give people the best live experience we can. There’s talk of more shows tthis year, so let’s hope they all go ahead. It’d be amazing to start playing shows regularly again. We’re insanely excited about playing for a crowd, being with our crew, being in a dressing room, putting in our in-ears and walking out on stage. Gigs are amazing, but we love every single second of the day leading up to a show and all being together. We can’t wait to see so many of our amazing fans again.”
