Summer Of Music: Am & Áit
With the combination of the Live Performance Support Scheme and the success of the Government's test gigs at the Iveagh Gardens and the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, we are on the verge of a huge explosion of music activity. As part of our Summer of Music 2021 special feature, we're taking a look at some of the most eagerly anticipated events of the summer...
Am & Áit
Where: Pepper Canister Church, Mount Street Crescent, Dublin 2
When: August 21 & 22
Who: Lisa Hannigan (21) and Iarla Ó Lionáird with special guest Aoife Nessa Frances (22).
What: Am & Áit is set to be a truly unique outdoor musical experience – featuring some of the country’s most acclaimed musicians performing on the steps of the beautiful Pepper Canister Church in Dublin’s south Georgian core. Both gigs, presented by Selective Memory, will kick off at 7.30pm each night, with specially curated video art for the performances projected onto the front wall and dome of the church during the shows. Only 400 tickets will be on sale for each show – which will be fully-seated, with socially-distanced pods.
