Wonder weighs in on Black Lives Matter debate at British Summertime gig on Sunday.
Stevie Wonder was the newest star to show his support for the Black Lives Matter movement. Other stars who have backed the slogan in recent days are Rhianna, Drake and Beyonce.
Opening his set, the legend of cool spoke out against racial hatred in light of recent events in Dallas, and encouraged people to break down racial prejudices by showing a little bit of love saying "I encourage you to choose love over hate, right over wrong, kind over meanness."
Wonder was emphatic in stating that all lives matter, not just black lives. But that the reason black lives matter is because black people "are the original people of this world" and that "in essence everyone has some black" and soul in them.
One can only hope the words of this music legend will resonate in such racially turbulent times and inspire people to sing with the key of life instead of the key of hate.

Wonder has always been extremely vocal on racial prejudice, promoting brotherliness over segregation and hatred.
