English band These New Puritans will play at The Workman’s Club in Dublin on Monday November 10, 2025.

The duo of twin brothers George and Jack Barnett, is due to release their fifth studio album Crooked Wing on May 23 via Domino Records.

The record is their first in six years and features contributions from singer Caroline Polachek and jazz bassist Chris Laurence.

Jack says the album began with a field recording of a church bell in Greece, which “set much of the album in motion.” As stated by a press release, the project “ranges from the brutal to the beautiful” and cements the band’s “reputation for visionary music that defies categorisation and convention”.

Their latest single from Crooked Wing is 'A Season in Hell', featuring driving, aggressive drumming which contrasts sharply with the quiet, heavenly tone of the other tracks on the album.

Hailing from Essex, These New Puritans are known for blending classical instruments with electronic production and industrial sounds. “We’ve always had that balance between the sublime and the filth,” says George, “music should flow out of your life, it shouldn’t be a separate activity.”

Crooked Wing is produced by Jack alongside Graham Sutton (Bark Psychosis), who reunites with the band after previous collaborations on Hidden (2010) and Field Of Reeds (2013).
