Wunderhorse announce new album Midas

Hit band Wunderhorse have announced the release of their second album, Midas, along with the release of two new tracks ‘July' and album titled 'Midas'.

Midas is the band’s second LP, following the debut 2022 album Cub, which featured hits tracks ‘Leader of the Pack’ and ‘Teal’, cementing the Wunderhorse sound as one that can be regarded as a fusion of punk, psychedelic, and, at times, downright grunge.

The lyrical storytelling partnered by subtle 90’s inspired chords ignited a strong fanbase for the English band and is a style frontman Jacob Slater says will continue in the soon to be released album.

“When we first went into the studio to make this record, the only thing we were sure about is how we wanted it to sound; very imperfect, very live, very raw; no frills.”

Continuing Slater explains that when fans listen to this album, he wants them to feel as though they are ear up to the amplifier listening to the music live, a concept that was important in the formation and execution of Midas and is evident in the two new tracks ‘July’ and ‘Midas’ with their unifed coarse and unpolished tone.
