Something Happens, Pugwash & more for Whelan's
A Memorial Concert for George Byrne next month.
We're still getting over the loss of rock writer George Byrne in April and, to show the esteem in which he was and is held, a star-studded memorial gig will be coming to Whelan's next month.
At 'Celebrating George', you can see Something Happens, Paul Cleary of The Blades, Pugwash, Trouble Pilgrims, Dermot Lambert of Blink and plenty of special guests. It's a night George himself (pictured right above, with Paul Woodful onstage) would have loved and it all goes down on Friday June 26. Tickets are €20 with proceeds going to a local Liberties charity. Available at [link]whelanslive.com[/link] and at box office.
