Juan Atkins’ 1996 version of ‘Someone’ gets a re-release and it still sounds fresh. Indeed, the sub-bass, rolling rhythm and deep, trippy riffs is a blueprint for much of what still gets released under the tech-house banner and is superior to Demarkus Lewis’ remix.
