Slowthai drops fan-focused video for 'Feel Good'

UK rapper Slowthai has dropped a new single from his upcoming album UGLY, which is set to release March 3rd.

'Feel Good' is accompanied by a new video with the aim of making listeners feel just that. A few of Slowthai's fans guest star in the video, 35 selected from over 4,000 submissions for the video.

Jamming out to the new single in their own homes, each fan was surprised on-camera with Slowthai sharing the excitement alongside them.

The song aims to be "a mantra to chant with a bounce to stir your bones, wake your mind and get you back on track with living (and loving) your life."

'Feel Good' is the fourth track on Slowthai's third album, the second single from the collection to be released after 'Selfish.' It features backup vocals from Shygirl and was directed by THE REST.

For the 28-year-old (real name Tyron Kaymone Frampton), it's an opportunity to express his desire to be free. While past attempts have left him with a less than ideal reputation, Slowthai remains adamantly himself.

“People see you as a character. They don’t actually know who you are. You’re stereotyped as the nutter who gets in his boxers," he explains. “It doesn’t matter what or who people think you are, you’ve just got to stay true and respect yourself.

"I have UGLY tattooed on my face because it's a reminder to love myself, rather than put myself down constantly or feel the impression people have of me should determine who I am as a person."

Slowthai also planned a pub tour in the UK to celebrate the new album, beginning the six-date endeavour the day his third album drops.

The first of The Best Night of Your Life tour will be in his hometown of Northampton.
