Slaves announce new EP The Velvet Ditch
UK punk band Slaves return with a "heavier" sound
One year after their last album Acts of Fear and Love, English punk rock duo Slaves announce a new EP. The record called The Velvet Ditch will come out later this week on July 18th.
The band made the announcement on Twitter, accompanied by the cover of the EP. The art work shows a hand reaching out of a red curtain, seemingly inviting you to join in on the fun.

In an interview with NME in January, Slaves talked about the first single from their upcoming record: "It's a song we wrote during the sessions for the last album, but it's heavier. It was a beat that I wrote on a computer as a grime beat, but we covered it to turn into something live and organic with Isaac rapping and shouting over it", Laurie Vincent explains.
The Velvet Ditch is set to release on July 18th.
