Made up of brothers Markus (voice, guitar) and Micha Acher (trumpet, bass, string arrangements), along with drummer Mecki Messerschmid and techie-boffin Martin Gretschmann aka Console, the Notwist, now on City Slang, were initially signed to Stereolab’s Duophonic label - and this collection of precision-engineering, deeply human electronica, their sixth album, makes it easy to see why France's premier purveyors of wave-and-particle pop would have taken a shine to them.
