Say hello, Dolly...
...cos country's favourite lady, Dolly Parton, heads to The Point Theatre in October
That most enduring of country legends, Dolly Parton, jets in on October 29 for her first Dublin date since 1983 at The Point.
Along with such standards as 'Jolene', 'Butterfly' and 'I Will Always Love You', the Tennessee songstress will be showcasing her new Halos & Horns collection. Described by one critic as "doing for Dolly what American Recordings did for Johnny Cash", it includes a somewhat unlikely cover of 'Stairway To Heaven'.

"I have no idea how people are going to take it," she reflects. "I don't know if I'll get criticised. But you know what? It came straight from the heart. I love the freedom to do exactly what I feel right about."
