Sara Baume shortlisted for the Goldsmiths Prize
It's another coup for Dublin's Tramp Press!
Having previously bagged the Rooney Prize and Davy Byrne’s Award, Sara Baume’s A Line Made By Walking has been shortlisted for the Goldsmiths Prize, which is worth a bank manager-pleasing £10,000.
She’s slugging it out with Nicola Barker’s H(a)ppy, Kevin Davey’s Playing Possum, Jon McGregor’s Reservoir 13, Gwendoline Riley’s First Love and Will Self’s Phone.
It could be two-in-a-row for publishers Tramp Press who were victorious in 2016 with Mike McCormack’s Solar Bones.
Eimear McBride and Kevin Barry have also won the high-profile award, which will be announced in London in November. Barry returns alongside Tracey Thorn, A. L. Kennedy and Naomi Wood as one of the judges.
