Samantha Mumba to star in Hollywood musical

A day of big 'Irish acting' news continues. We've just brought you the news that Bronagh Gallagher will feature in new Ridley Scott Showtime drama, and now The Daily Mail is reporting that Samantha Mumba is set to star in a big screen Hollywood musical.

The project will aim to replicate the size and success of recent blockbuster Les Miserables. Mumba's deal, said to be worth $1 million, will likely propel the 30-year-old Dublin star – currently residing in LA – back into the spotlight.
