Sam Fender announces Dublin show
Tickets go on sale October 30 at 9:30 am.
English indie rock artist Sam Fender has announced a show at Dublin's Marlay Park on July 1, 2027 as part of his Proper Massive stadium tour.
The date comes alongside stops in six other cities, including Fender's biggest headline shows to date at London's Wembley Stadium on June 18 and 20.
Wunderhorse will support on all UK dates, which also include Newcastle, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester.
The news follows his third studio album, People Watching, which arrived in February 2025 via Polydor. After hitting No. 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart upon release, the record won the 2025 Mercury Prize and landed Fender an Ivor Novello Award for songwriter of the year.
People Watching includes one of Fender's biggest hits, 'Rein Me In'. In August, its Olivia Dean remix became the longest-running UK No. 1 single of all time after spending 23 non-consecutive weeks at the top, breaking a 73-year-old record previously held by Frankie Laine's 'I Believe'.
The track also earned the publicly voted 2026 BRIT Award for song of the year, while in the US it peaked at No. 50 on the Billboard Hot 100, his highest entry on the chart yet.
After winning the 2025 Mercury Prize, Fender donated his £25,000 (€28,377) winnings to the Music Venue Trust, a UK charity dedicated to supporting grassroots music venues.
"I wouldn't be doing what I am doing today if it wasn't for all the gigs I played around the north-east, and beyond, when I was starting out," he said. "These venues are legendary, but they are struggling."
The last time Fender performed in Ireland was August 30, 2025, when he headlined the main stage at Electric Picnic.
"Fender sent the crowd into the night sweaty, smiling, and hoarse - exactly how a Saturday headline slot should leave you. A communal release," wrote Hot Press of the show.
Tickets for his Dublin show go on sale October 30 at 9:30 am here.
