Ryan Adams Opens Up About Emotional Pain Behind New Album
Ryan Adams has opened up about having to force himself to "keep my chin up" while recording his new album because his marriage was coming to an end at the same time.
Adams – who has also just took to Instagram to announce details and reveal the artwork for his new album ‘Prisoner’, due out next February – began to work on it while in the middle of a divorce from Mandy Moore.
“To be me and to go through that the way that I did was destructive on a level that I can't explain. So a lot of extra work went into keeping my chin up and remembering what I did and what I loved about who I was,” Adams revealed to the Japan Times.
The acclaimed singer-songwriter, who had the legendary producer, Don Was work with him on 'Prisoner', recently released the first single from the new album, ‘Do You Still Love Me’, which is available on iTunes.
