Roger Waters announces This Is Not A Drill concert movie
Tickets go on sale June 12
Pink Floyd founding member Roger Waters has announced the release of a new film.
This Is Not A Drill - Live from Prague is to premiere on July 23 in cinemas worldwide. The participating cinemas will be announced when tickets go on sale June 12.
Sean Evans took the creative lead in directing the film, which used recordings of Water's live show at the O2 Arena on May 25, 2023. Evans is a long-time collaborator of Waters and has worked with him on the 2019 rock documentary Us & Them.
Together with the film, songs recorded live at the Prague show will also be released. The accompanying music is available for preorder now and is set to be released on August 1 via Legacy Recordings.
Waters' tour back in 2023 was “dedicated to our brothers and sisters all over the world who are engaged in the existential battle for the soul of humanity”, he said.
Hits from the show featured in the new movie include 'Us & Them', 'Comfortably Numb', and 'Wish You Were Here'.
Filmed in 8K resolution, the movie features an enhanced audio mix.
