Rice for California film screening [corrected!]
Damien Rice will perform live on Sunday, March 7 in California when the film When The Dragon Swallowed The Sun is shown at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
He will sing 'What If I'm Wrong?', the title song from the film.
The original soundtrack for When The Dragon Swallowed The Sun has been written by Rice, Thom Yorke and Philip Glass. The film reveals for the first time the struggle of a young Tibetan King who is expected to continue a 1400 year old lineage while the Tibetan freedom movement is at a critical crossroads. It has a prologue narrated by Dennis Haysbert.
The film has received nine award nominations. It has already scooped the Maverick Movie Award for three categories, including Best Original Score. It is also nominated for the Fund for Santa Barbara's Social Justice Award for Documentary Film.
