Review: Jägermeister Freezer Sessions, Limerick
The fourth leg of the Jägermeister Freezer Sessions series took place in Dolans Warehouse in Limerick, on Saturday night, featuring some of Ireland’s hottest acts.
Limerick band, Protobaby, kick-started the night in style with their effortless rock ‘n’ roll vibes as lead singer Aoife Mc Loughlin captivated the packed venue with her stunning vocals. ‘Keep Running’ ended the set on a high note, setting the mood for the rest of the night.
Dublin natives Raglans arrived on stage next with an energetic performance, opening with ‘Lady Roll Back The Years’ and continuing to impress with their unique sound, incorporating mandolin and cow bell.
The Hot Sprockets were up next, bursting onto the stage at 100mph with their old soul vibes, launching into their set with 'Bad Jim'. The Limerick crowd were drawn in immediately and it wasn’t long before some of their fans joined them on stage. Closing with crowd favourite 'Soul Brother', they left the Limerick audience begging for more.
Dublin folk rockers The Riptide Movement closed proceedings with a tremendous performance, keeping energy levels high with their exuberant tunes. With the help of a rapt audience they belted out standout track 'Hot Tramp' before a couple of Sprockets joined them on stage to finish the night off on an huge high with ‘Keep On, Keeping On’.
