Canadian rapper Jon James McMurray tragically fell to his death doing a dangerous wing-walking stunt on a plane for a music video he was making.
The 34-year was rapping on the wing when he plummeted to his death after the plane suddenly plunged into a downward spiral.
"His final act included performing an airplane stunt that included rapping wile walking on the wing," says a statement released by his management.
"He had trained intensively for this stunt, however, as Jon got further out onto the wing it caused the small Cessna to go into a downward spiral that the pilot couldn't correct.
"Jon held onto the wing until it was too late, and by the time he let go, he didn't have time to pull his chute. He impacted and died instantly."

Apart from being a musician, Jon James McMurray, also known as Jon James, was a professional freeskier, film maker and stunt artist.
According to his Wikipedia entry, Jon James McMurray was known for combining freeskiing and extreme stunts. He was the first action sports personality to successfully land a back-flip transferring from rail to rail.
The Wikipedia entry adds, "He began his career as a professional athlete during high school, and competed and filmed internationally throughout North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. He was featured in action sports movies by Matchstick Productions, Poorboyz Productions, Level 1 Productions, and others."

In addition to receiving international exposure from Sports Illustrated Magazine, McMurray was also the owner and founder of Loose Canon Productions, a film company that released the sports action lifestyle film Without A Cause.
He performed music under the name Jon James and his album Rex Leo was released 2016. He appeared in nine music videos, according to his Wikipedia entry.
"McMurray's tendency to perform dangerous stunts led to several serious injuries including seven surgeries, a fractured neck and a broken back on two separate occasions," it's also stated on his Wikipedia entry.
