Public Service Broadcasting announce Dublin gig
The corduroy-clad brainchild of J. Willgoose, Esq. and Wrigglesworth are back to inform, educate and entertain an audience at Dublin's The Academy on January 24.
The eccentric London-based trio weave samples from old public information films, archive footage and propaganda material around live drums, guitar, banjo and electronics.
PSB recently released their third studio album Every Valley, which takes listeners on a journey down the mineshafts of the South Wales valleys.
“This album isn’t just about mining, and isn’t just about Wales," says J. Willgoose Esq. "It’s a story reflected in abandoned and neglected communities across the western world, and one which has led to the resurgence of a particularly malignant, cynical and calculating brand of politics."
The group have quickly earned a reputation as the UK's most exciting live band with major appearances at SXSW, Glastonbury and others. They have also landed support slots with Arcade Fire and The Rolling Stones at Hyde Park followed by longer tours with Manic Street Preachers and an arena tour with the Kaiser Chiefs.
Tickets cost €27.90 and go on sale Friday August 4 at 9am via Ticketmaster.
