Premiere: Hermitage Green – 'Afterglow'
The band have promised a new album later this year.
It might seem hard to believe, but Hermitage Green have been together for a decade. The Limerick folk-rock group's latest single 'Afterglow' was released earlier this month to wide acclaim and today, Hot Press is proud to premiere its accompanying video.
“Afterglow is a song about feeling the presence of something or someone long after it has passed," says Dan Murphy. "This video portrays the memories of these past ten years for us as we continue to live in their Afterglow.” It's infectious and anthemic, a severely-needed dose of euphoria in these strange times.
The video, produced by award-winning director and animator Christopher Mills, is a semi-abstract animation made from photos of the band over the years. “We were a huge fan of Chris’ previous work," says the band. "He has an intuitive ability to create visual art that looks abstract yet fits really well with the music it is accompanying.”
