Post Punk Podge & The Technohippies return with 'Keep On Raving In The First World'
The lauded Limerick act are set to take their upcoming album Keep On Raving In The First World on the road later year – with gigs in Limerick, Dundalk, Ennis and Clonakilty
Three years on from the release of their groundbreaking debut album, Euphoric Recall, Post Punk Podge & The Technohippies are gearing up to make their long-awaited return – with their new LP, Keep On Raving In The First World, out on October 11.
In the run-up to the release, the Limerick act have shared the title track and lead single – with an accompanying music video set to follow soon.
Described as a "song about raving, drugs, privilege and adventure", 'Keep On Raving In The First World' was produced by Chris Quigley, and features Dan Walsh (Fixity, The Bonk, Junior Brother) on saxophone, and Andreea Mocanu (PowPig, Small Church) on backing vocals.
Money from the sale of the track on Bandcamp "goes towards the mastering of our new album," Post Punk Podge wrote on social media today.
To coincide with the release of the album, Post Punk Podge & The Technohippies have also announced an Irish tour – featuring dates in Limerick, Dundalk, Ennis and Clonakilty.
Charles Hendy of The Mary Wallopers will be playing a DJ set as the support act for the Dundalk gig, while Small Church will be opening for the Limerick show.
