What better way to get into the festive spirit than a day spent with the cream of Dublin's local talent.

The popular Dublin based music collective Popical Island will be live in Whelans from three o' clock December 19 showcasing those that call their collective home.

Present on the day will be Squarehead, No Monster Club, Skelocrats and Lie Ins.

The collective, which is home to Tieranniesaur and Paddy Hanna is a self styled "small, hard-working pop collective based in Dublin" formed back in 2010 by bands Land Lovers, Yeh Deadlies and Groom.

Tickets for the day are €10.
