The Play On The Day competition offers one band the opportunity to take to the main stage at the Guinness Storehouse on Arthur's Day. The response saw hundreds of entries fly in to Hot Press Towers, with songs of tremendous quality to be found aplenty.
Once the difficult task of whittling those numbers down to just 115 entries from the North, South, East and West/Mid-West was complete, the power fell to you, the public, to have your say as to who the final 16 left standing would be. You didn't disappoint, leaving a shortlist that makes it particularly difficult to choose an obvious winner from. That's where the regional semi-finals come in. Taking place over two nights between September 7 and 8 in Dublin, Limerick, Cork and Belfast, the four sets of gigs will determine which four bands face off for that prestigious slot on Arthur's Day on Thursday September 22.
