Platespinner
Recorded in mono, containing twelve tracks and running for just over half an hour, Platespinner is the latest addition to this year's glittering parade of greatness from one of America's most vibrant underground scenes.
Recorded in mono, containing twelve tracks and running for just over half an hour, Platespinner is the latest addition to this year's glittering parade of greatness from one of America's most vibrant underground scenes. Dwight Twilley, Darin, The Shazam and The Rooks have all made their mark in recent months. Now Myracle Brah's second album ups the ante even further.
From 'Isn't It A Crime?' to 'Slip Away', this deadly dozen power pop gems clatter and stumble into each other yet make perfect sense all the way, the sequencing and feel of the whole album being all the more remarkable when you consider that the man who is Myracle Brah, Andy Bopp, plays everything pretty much by himself
In short, here you have the spirit of The Beatles, Big Star, The Who and The Move spread over twelve songs and squashed into 30-odd minutes. Never mind the length listen to the quality.
