Pilfershire Lane
Batty Busch goes proggy, sings like a moggy.
Tara Busch sings like a banshee with relationship issues. Her vocal gymnastics on ‘Over The Radio/Can You Read Me?’ and ‘Get Drunk & Fuck’ border on the insane, and it takes away from what are some pretty good songs. The Kate Bush-isms are glaringly apparent, but this particular Ms Busch is much more taken with technology and ‘70s prog bands than the works of the Bronte sisters. Pilfershire Lane is by no means a classic. However, there are enough flashes of genius to suggest that she may be one to watch over the next few years.
