Sugababes announce first new album in 26 years

Sugababes have announced a new self-titled album, which will be released on February 12, 2027. This will be the original trio's first album since their debut record One Touch in 2000.

In an Instagram post, the band described the process of creating the album:

"We've poured so much into this record and the more it came together, the clearer it became that there was only one thing we could call it; 'SUGABABES.'

"It feels unmistakably us.

"We’ve loved writing and recording it, and we’re so excited that it’s finally time for you all to hear it!"

The group have dropped their first single 'Ghost' for the new album, the song is about relationships, and the feeling of being unable to escape a toxic environment.

The original group formed in 1998 and comprises Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena, and Siobhán Donaghy. They are known for their No. 1 singles 'Push The Button', 'About You Now', and 'Round Round'.

Since their reunion in 2019, they have released a 20th anniversary edition of One Touch in 2021, they also dropped a record in 2022 titled The Lost Tapes, which featured unreleased Sugababes material.

The band performed in the SSE Arena in Belfast, and the 3Arena in Dublin in 2025, as part of their UK and Europe tour.
