Pat Lagoon is kickstarting 2020 with a new track, 'Smooth With It.' The trap ballad is a collaboration with producer and fellow Waterford head LHK.

Speaking on the song, The Goon said: "This song just represents how every little decision you make changes the narrative in your life and I’m low-key flipping the whole phrase 'the world doesn’t revolve around you' with the catchy hook 'got the whole word trotting round your globe'. It’s all about finding your purpose and working with it 'til you’re happy with it. As cliché as it sounds, life is what you make it."

He also revealed that 'Smooth With It' is part of an upcoming release.

"'Smooth With It' is an outro track for something I have coming out really soon, and features a new level to LHK’s production," he said. "LHK sent me the beat and the minute I heard it, I had the melody down and the hook."

Over the past year and a half, The Goon has crossed over from Soundcloud obscurity to a big presence in the booming Irish hip hop scene. And we're predicting an even bigger year for him -- he's one of Hot Press' Hot for 2020 artists. His pounding track 'Let Loose,' which Hot Press premiered last summer, just reached over 100,000 streams on Spotify.
