In 2020, Jake Hurley – AKA Local Boy – was tipped as one of the Hot Press Hot for 2020 Irish Acts. Described as "fusing elements of laidback hip-hop, R&B and smooth funk with off-kilter indie sensibilities", this is an exciting artist to watch.
This newest release will complete a trilogy of projects starting with his 2019 EP, Local Boy Ruins Everything, and following the 2021 EP, Local Boy Helps Himself.
The rising musician's music has been featured on works like the Normal People television series and a number of official Spotify playlists. With over 12,700 monthly listeners on the Spotify platform and shows coming up at Workman's Cellar this September, fans have a lot to look forward to.
Ahead of the release of his next single, 'Get Up (Out The Bed)' tomorrow, listen to Local Boy's most recent track: 'Crazy Stupid Love'.
