Paranoid Visions release Stardust disaster EP
The Dublin punks want justice for the victims' families.
Dublin punks Paranoid Visions commemorate the Stardust disaster with the Valentine's Day release of Strobelight And Torture, which will be available as a three-track 7" and six-track CD.
Explaining the rationale behind the EP, the band say, "It's designed to prompt questions and introduce the tragedy to an audience who are too young to remember the event with any clarity in the run up to its 30th anniversary in 2011. The lyrics refer to the fact that the families of the deceased have been denied closure and that there has been an apparent unwillingness on the part of the legal system and government to hold anybody accountable for the horrific tragedy."
Strobelight And Torture's official release takes place on February 13 when the Visions are joined in Fibber Magee's by Belfast's Runnin' Riot, Angelic Upstarts offshoot The Dispomaniacs and The Snipes who feature members of '70s outfits Cock Sparrer and The Revillos.
