Orchid Collective Announce Whelan's show

Orchid Collective have announced a concert at Whelan’s Upstairs on Friday March 11.

The launch party is for the band’s new single ‘Lay As Stone’. Mixed by Stephen Dunne, the new song has been played on Dublin alternative radio station TXFM and Radio Ulster. The track's video has been completed by the London-based Cillian Farrell.

''It's a beauty...gorgeous, gorgeous track...really really stunning stuff...I don't want to say big things are expected of them as it's their first single but it certainly shows a lot of promise, doesn't it,'' said RTE DJ Dan Hegarty.

Orchid Collective will be supported by Maria Kelly on March 11. "We caught her set at Whelan's Ones To Watch and were blown away!”, the band said on their Facebook page.
