The Olllam start their Irish tour this evening
Irish fusion band The Olllam are set to head off on an extensive Irish tour this evening.
Formed back in 2012 as a collaboration between Belfast piper John McSherry and seminal Detroit musicians Tyler Duncan, Michael Shimmin, Joe Dart, Theo Katzman and Woody Goss, the band has experimented with music to create their unique style and released an
album.
Since then the band’s members have done solo or other collaboration projects aside from the band. Katzman, Dart and Goss have found world fame in the cult band Vulfpeck and McSherry has release two solo ablums.
For their 2018 Irish tour, the band’s four founding members (Dart, Shimmin, Duncan and McSherry) will be joined by Detroit keyboard player Joe Hettinga and Limerick guitarist Sean O’Meara.
