Olivia Rodrigo drops lead single and music video 'Drop Dead'

Olivia Rodrigo has just released her new single, 'Drop Dead,' along with its accompanying music video. This track serves as the lead single from her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, which is set for release on June 12.

Rodrigo has once again collaborated with producer Daniel Nigro, who previously worked on her debut album, SOUR, and her sophomore album, GUTS.

The four-minute music video shows Rodrigo dancing solo at the palace of Versailles and playing a pink guitar inside the palace's Hall of Mirrors. The music video is directed by Petra Collins, who also worked on Rodrigo's music video 'Good 4 U'.

Rodrigo launched her solo music career in 2021 with the hit ‘Drivers License.’ She continued with GUTS in 2023, the lead single ‘Vampire’ becoming her third song to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  Rodrigo also played a headline show at Marlay Park in Dublin in June, 2025.

Rodrigo is also scheduled to make her debut as host and musical guest of Saturday Night Live on May 2.
