Ocean Alley announce headline show at Vicar Street
Ocean Alley will headline in Dublin this summer as part of their world tour.
On August 30, Ocean Alley will be in Dublin to play a show at Vicar Street.
Hailing from Australia, Ocean Alley have built up a major following across a string of critically acclaimed albums. The six-piece consists of Baden Donegal on vocals and guitar, Angus Goodwin on lead guitar, Lach Galbraith on keyboard and vocals, Mitch Galbraith on guitar, Nic Blom on bass and Tom O’Brien on drums.
The band have accumulated over 800 million streams, while nine of their singles have had sales certified Gold or higher in Australia and New Zealand. Their song ‘Confidence’ gained traction after it became the sound played for a viral TikTok trend.
The track has placed on Spotify’s Top 50 Chart in New Zealand at No. 8, No. 15 in Australia, and No. 39 in the UK. It also placed on the Viral 50 chart in various countries including No. 1 in Iceland and Lithuania, No. 2 in Denmark and Portugal, No. 3 in Ireland and Sweden and No. 4 in the UK, Canada, Norway, the U.S., South Africa, Belgium and the Netherlands.
For their headline shows in Australia, the band have sold over 42,000 tickets, as well as another 35,000 for 34 shows across the UK, Europe, North America and New Zealand.
Ocean Alley will also be playing at a number of festivals this year, including the Splendour In The Grass festival where they will be replacing Lewis Capaldi. Ocean Alley will also be playing at Reading & Leeds, Sziget, BottleRock and Rhythm & Alps.
Their world tour will start on March 23 where Ocean Alley will play at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in Australia. They will play six other shows in Australia before heading to North America where they will play 17 shows in places like San Francisco, Atlanta, New York and Montreal.
Then Ocean Alley will come back over the pond to play 15 more shows in Dublin, Berlin, Paris, and many more before their last show on September 22 in London.
Tickets for their Dublin show will go on sale on Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m., starting at €31.00 and can be found through Ticketmaster here.
