Róisín El Cherif to support Arabic shoegaze band Kiss Facility on UK and Ireland tour

Irish-Palestinian singer Róisín El Cherif has announced that she will support Arabic shoegaze band Kiss Facility on their UK and Irish tour in November.

The dates include a stop at The Grand Social in Dublin on November 16, after shows in London, Manchester and Bristol.

Meanwhile, yesterday it was announced that El Cherif features on the soundtrack of Daniele Rugo's documentary on Gaza medics, Life Support, alongside KNEECAP, David Holmes and others.

The LP was curated by Massive Attack's Robert Del Naja, along with the film's producers.

The indie pop artist is currently working on her debut studio album Macha, which follows her live album Róisín Live from Dublin, recorded in support of Mothers Against Genocide.

Before that, she released Glass House in 2018, her breakout EP, followed by an acoustic version in 2019.

El Cherif has collaborated with several artists on tracks like 'A Mother's Heart for Palestine', with Mary Black, Ríoghnach Connol, Áine Tyrrell, Just Leen and Aziz Abushark, and 'Resistance in the Dark' with Holmes and Paul Weller in support of Medical Aid for Palestinians.

She has also shared standalone singles like 2024's 'Siúil a Rúin', which is a traditional Irish ballad rewritten as a mixture of Irish, English and Arabic to honour her dual cultures.

In February, she performed at the National March for Palestine, along with speakers such as psychologist and activist Rula Nasr-Mazzawi and Brian Flynn from Gaels Against Genocide in Gaza.

Kiss Facility are an alternative musical duo formed by Emirati-Egyptian vocalist and artist Mayah Alkhateri and Irish-Chilean producer Salvador Navarrette, aka Sega Bodega. They released their debut album KHAZNA earlier this year, along with several singles before that, including 'In My Room', 'Black Stone', 'Prayer At The Dinner Table' and more.
