KNEECAP, David Holmes, Róisín El Cherif and more feature on soundtrack of Life Support documentary on medics in Gaza
The documentary is narrated by Irish actress Denise Gough.
KNEECAP, David Holmes, and Róisín El Cherif are among the names featured on the soundtrack for Daniele Rugo's documentary on Gaza medics, Life Support.
The soundtrack album released on streaming today, and is also available to pre-order on vinyl here. All proceeds from the vinyl will be donated to the Health Workers 4 Palestine Solidarity Fund.
The LP was curated by Massive Attack's Robert Del Naja, along with the film's producers. The record features original score compositions from Del Naja & Habib Shehada Hanna, as well as contributions from Yasmine Hamdan, Kneecap, 47Soul, The Five Techniques (featuring Paul Weller), David Holmes, Róisín El Cherif, Siba and Monkyman, Aar Maanta (Hassan Nour), and Massar Egbari.
Robert Del Naja described the process of curating the soundtrack.
"Given the magnitude and rawness of Life Support, it was humbling to be asked to compose work that could in some way enhance a second-hand experience of living the devastating realities for volunteer medics and Gazan civilians.
"We hope the range of compositions go some way to travelling the emotional quagmire - but also elevating the astounding human spirit and resilience displayed by the subjects of this film."
Directed by Daniele Rugo, and narrated by Irish actress Denise Gough, the documentary follows a group of medics working in Gaza from 2023 to 2025.
"The extraordinary Life Support documentary follows a team of medics operating in Gaza under unspeakable conditions for two years, during which – given the ban on international journalists entering the territory imposed by the Israeli government - they inadvertently serve as independent, global witnesses to the realities of a systemic genocide," the synopsis reads.
The film premiered at the 2026 Sheffield DocFest, and has since been nominated for a British Independent Film Award.
