Slash announces Dublin and Belfast shows
Tickets for SMKC's Irish shows go on sale October 9 at 10 am.
Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators (SMKC) have announced a show at Dublin's Trinity College on July 3, 2027 and Belfast's Custom House Square on July 4.
They have also released a new single, 'Flying Blind', as a preview of their upcoming album of the same name, out February 26, 2027.
Recorded largely live with longtime producer Michael 'Elvis' Baskette at Studio Barbarosa in Florida, the 12-track album captures Slash on guitar and pedal steel, Myles Kennedy on vocals, Todd Kerns on bass, Brent Fitz on drums and Frank Sidoris on rhythm guitar.
"It's a really fun, kind of spontaneous rock 'n' roll record," said Slash of 'Flying Blind'. "It's very straightforward and down-to-earth and raw."
"I really enjoyed putting a melody to this song," Kennedy added. "The way the chord progression starts in the beginning had a nice flow to it. The lyric is about how sometimes people try to take shortcuts and try to find the easy way to achieve happiness or enlightenment."
Born Saul Hudson, Slash is a British-American musician known for being the lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses. He joined the hard rock band in 1985. Their debut album Appetite for Destruction, released in 1987, became the best-selling debut album in US history, driven by hits like 'Sweet Child O' Mine' and 'Welcome to the Jungle'.
After leaving Guns N' Roses in 1996, he formed Slash's Snakebite and co-founded the supergroup Velvet Revolver - both have since disbanded. He then began touring and recording with SMKC and, in 2016, he reunited with Guns N' Roses for their reunion tour.
His involvement with Kennedy and The Conspirators came out of Kennedy's guest appearance on Slash's self-titled 2010 solo album.
"I got into working with the Conspirators as a happy accident from doing that first solo album," Slash said. "I established a relationship with these guys on a musical and personal level that I wasn't about to give up when Guns restarted."
