Noel Gallagher Shrugs Off Bad Review From Irish Critic
Noel has literally laughed off one negative review from an Irish newspaper, simply saying: "That's told me then"! with a laughing emoticon.
The ex-Oasis songwriter's new album is receiving mostly really positive reviews. But after seeing it slatted in the Irish Times during the weekend, Gallagher took to Instagram to joke: "That’s me told then"!
In the review, the new album 'Who Built the Moon?’ was described as "a dried up oasis of dross" and given a one star review.
The review also said: "There are musical gestures here that would be a cause of embarrassment if you heard them played by a gang of black-clad teenagers at a Saturday afternoon battle of the bands in a rural parish hall.”
The reviewer Ian Maleney also wrote: “It’s the stale, musty sound of a glorified pub band going through the motions. Rock is dead; this is a pantomime.”
Noel Gallagher's brief response to the review has so far received 22,000 likes and counting on Twitter.
