Niall Horan announces his upcoming album is finished
"Album is DONE," wrote Niall Horan.
Niall Horan has announced that his fourth album is finished.
The singer-songwriter took to social media to share the news as well as a snippet of a song played on the piano.
The forthcoming album is expected to be released later this year.
"I'm in here finishing it right now," said Horan to Hits Radio Breakfast Show with Fleur East. "So I'm in the beat lab. I'm just finishing off some vocal bits and things like that, that I wasn't happy with, but yeah... I should have music sometime this year. And I'm very excited about it!"
The announcement follows the release of ‘Drive Safe’, a collaboration with Myles Smith that the former One Direction member shared earlier this month.
Following his last album, The Show, the upcoming record comes two years after Horan announced his hiatus.
In 2023, the Mullingar artist was interviewed by Hot Press, speaking fondly of his native town.
"Every time I go back I'm like, ‘Thank God I grew up here.’ I didn't realise how lucky I was growing up," said Horan. "All I wanted to do was to get out of there. Now I can't wait to go back. It's just the characters, the style of upbringing, the simplicity of life, the school, the football team...
"Having travelled the world, I now realise, years later, how lucky we were to have an Irish upbringing. It's the best upbringing you can ask for."
