New Jack White Album on the cards for 2014
Former White Stripes man tells fans to expect new material very soon.
Taking to the messageboard of his Third Man Records recently, Jack White teased fans with the news that he is hard at work on new music.
"I'm producing two albums this month, and finishing them," the Detroit rocker revealed. "One of them is mine."
The new White LP is likely to be his second solo album, following on from 2012's well-received Blunderbuss. Almost a year ago, the Nashville resident was talking up the stack of songs he had completed, stating that he'd written between 20 to 25. "It's definitely not one sound," he told Rolling Stone back then. "It's definitely several. Like you heard in Blunderbuss, there's many different styles there. I don't pick my style and then write a song. I just write whatever comes out of me, and whatever style it is is what it is, and it becomes something later."
Details of the other album, for which he has a production role, have yet to be revealed. However, The Dead Weather, for which White drums and writes, will be active over the next two years. 2014 will find them releasing a series of two-song sets, and a full album will follow in 2015.
